Και με τον Πάου Γκασόλ, τον παίχτη που στα 35 του, τη μετατρέπει από μια απλά καλή ομάδα σε διεκδικήτρια του τίτλου και εν τέλει πρωταθλήτρια Ευρώπης σε ένα κλειστό τουρνουά με έναν αξιοπρόσεκτο αριθμό ομάδων που βρίσκονταν αγωνιστικά κοντά.
Οι Ίβηρες άλλαξαν τσιπάκι στον προημιτελικό με την Ελλάδα, στο παιχνίδι δηλαδή που είχαμε κυκλώσει στις αναρτήσεις μας πριν ακόμα αρχίσει το τουρνουά ως αυτό που θα μας δώσει τη προσδοκώμενη ώθηση για να φτάσουμε μέχρι τέλους. Αυτό δεν αφαιρεί όμως τίποτα από το επίτευγμα της. Ίσα ίσα που το κάνει να φαίνεται πιο λαμπρό.
